I collected data points about email creation via targeted surveys using Pendo.

Analyzing these survey results along with the backend metrics led me to be able to ask questions about our users, some of which I documented here.
Finally, having gained an understanding of our current offering, our users' problems and behavior, needs and goals, I drew up a model of the system along with a proposal for the work to be done.

I use Hotjar to collect anonymous data about user interactions (e.g. where you click, scroll your mouse, move in between pages). I use these insights to continuously improve the user experience of my site.
